BOLTON-Le-MOORS CAR CLUB Ltd.
Bolton-Le-Moors Car Club was established in 1950. During this time the club and its
members have been involved in many different types of events. Our members still take
part in a wide variety of motor sport activities and new members are always welcome. The
club is registered to the MSA and affiliated to the A.N.W.C.C. (Association of North
Western Car Clubs), A.W.M.M.C. (Association of West Midlands Car Clubs),E.M.A
(East Midlands Association) SD34 Motor Sport Group and the A.N.C.C. (Association of North Car Clubs)
Club Meetings. The club meets weekly on Thursday night’s, from 9:00pm, at
the:- Horwich RMI Club, (Map Ref 109 / 639 111) Chorley New Road, Horwich (Opposite
the Horwich fire station) Membership of BLMCC is £7 single £10 for joint and £12 for
family membership. The club also holds occasional discos during the year at this venue.
Club Events. The club organises five main events each year. Our famous road rally
The Bolton Midnight, our stage rally The Neil Howard Memorial Stages
this is held between Christmas and New Year and three autotests. The Bolton Autotest
is a round of the ‘MSA’ and ‘BTRDA’ which are national championships and also ANCC,
ANWCC championships. All three Autotests are held locally at the Bolton North Motorway
Service Station on the M61.
Club Championships. The club championship’s cover’s a large number of motor sports
events. Trophies are awarded yearly for the individual championships. Rally ~ drivers,
Rally ~ co-drivers, Off road, and Allrounders. The club’s ‘Allrounders Championship’
covers all events entered by club members including marshalling, servicing and organising
activities. At the end of the year trophies are awarded to the winner and prize money is
shared out on a point’s basis to all members in the championship. The estimated prize
fund for this year is in excess of £500.
Club Nights. On club nights there are a variety of events held regularly:- Quiz nights ~
Club and Inter Club, Table Top rallies, Indoor Autotest, Computer Games, Sega Rally and
Motor Sport Video’s.
Club Magazine and Web page. Blemag is generally published and distributed every two
months. This contains reports of club members on events, articles of general interest from
club members, championship updates and forthcoming events.
